This southwest Michigan gun club located in
Watervliet, Michigan is affiliated
with the National Rifle Association, (NRA), Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC)
and Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).
We have made many improvements and started new
programs in the last 10 years while keeping membership dues affordable.
We have:
Purchased two tractors and weed whacker for maintaining the club grounds.
Put a new roof on the club house.
Dug a new, larger, deeper well.
Added two PAT traps for our trap shotgun program and re-roofed both trap houses.
Added truck loads of crushed concrete and stone to the parking lot and a road to the pistol berms.
Replaced concrete at the front entrance shotgun house and in front of each trap house.
Added new steel, commercial doors to the club house and storage barn.
Added an out building for archery target storage.
You can see we are constantly improving our facilities.
Our club:
Updates our by-laws every five years and range rules as warranted.
Hosts and sponsors the Straight Shooters 4-H Club which shoots every 2nd and 4th Sundays.
(pellet rifle; .22 caliber rifle, trap, black powder and archery)
Added an archery program not only for the 4-H but for members and is open to the
public during approved hours.
Has written several grants and received an abundance of shooting merchandise for
our youth programs and Ladies Day and NRA classes.
Puts out a monthly newsletter which is available on our website. A mailed copy of
the newsletter is available for an additional $10/year. Contact a board member if interested.
